Getting Over the Humpback

A commercial fisherman survived an Old Testament experience.

Jonah: swallowed by a whale –
so goes that ancient Bible tale.
Three days spent in the beast’s intestine
(must’ve caused great indigestion).

Now we hear a lobster diver
is the latest whale survivor.
Swallowed whole – but soon expelled.
(Inside of there, I bet it smelled.)

Those people who in theory were
within a whale’s interior
have quite a yarn to spin once spewed
and found not suitable as food.

A whale’s a mammal, as you know –
warm-blooded; they breathe air – and so
despite what certain skeptics wish, we
can’t say this account sounds fishy.
