Pulp Friction

The world’s largest tree is threatened by a raging wildfire.

Oh, boy – a
sequoia’s
at risk of combustion
if grazed
by a blaze;
quite a very robust one.

Ennui means
gone tree; reams
of forest in peril.
One giant’s
defiant –
in foil-wrapped apparel.

Who’da thunk
this tree trunk
(named for General Sherman)
could soon
end up ruined?
Climate change will determine.
