A furniture superstore served as shelter during a blizzard.
In Denmark, a snowstorm blew in without warning
and caught unawares both employees and customers
inside an IKEA; all stuck there ‘til morning:
arrangements for shelter and nourishment must occur.
Of course, at IKEA there’s plenty of meatballs
(the kind served in Sweden; they’re flavored with allspice).
A café is nestled within its concrete walls
where food is prepared and then sold for a small price.
This corporate largesse was a great panacea;
all ate and were warm and nobody was trembling.
These Danes stayed sequestered inside the IKEA
and slept in soft beds – which first needed assembling.
